Pie Mania

My friend Thea has a huge, beautiful apple tree in her backyard. The apples are already ripe (must have been that heat!) so the "jam crew" decided to make pies to be sold at the MCC Fall Fair here in Prince George.
The MCC:
-sends people, food and material goods to communities recovering from war and natural disasters. -encourages and supports local churches and community groups in their efforts to provide food, health care, education, employment and social services.
-helps people develop skills for creating peace in their families, neighborhoods, villages, towns and nations.
-encourages exchanges of visits, gifts and prayers between supporters and those with whom we work around the world. These exchanges highlight for everyone the gifts, needs and wisdom of others (

In total, the four of us made 17 pies in less than 4 hours! That includes picking the apples and cleaning up. We did bake one pie to test it out...for quality control purposes. :) The rest will be sold on September 26th to go towards helping an amazing organization!
