Happy February!

This weekend has been a busy one! It kicked off with Dan winning his Friday night co-ed soccer game against a challenging team and then a quiet evening at home.

Saturday we did some running around, had coffee with a friend and spent the afternoon at the Caledonia Nordic Centre skiing with the Nelsons while Joel and Chloe had their ski lessons. It was a glorious sunny day and just below freezing. We mustered up some energy that afternoon and had Joel, Chloe and Sam over for a sleepover. We had a pizza party, attempted to watch "Horton Hears a Who" (the DVD was scratched) and had our traditional Sunday pancake breakfast. After the kiddies went to bed, our friend Leah came over and we watched, "Fireproof". We had heard rave reviews from many people about this movie and was thrilled to see it rated at #10 at Rogers Video! It is really amazing that other than 2 characters, the whole cast are not professional actors but simply members of Sherwood Baptist Church. Through this movie, a series of marriage courses have been made...very neat ministry.
Today is another busy day. Church, soccer for Dan and I went skiing with friends this afternoon. We have been invited to Joel's piano lesson, and then I'm sure Dan will be squeezing in the Superbowl and then we are off to see, "Slumdog Millionaire" to see what everyone is raving about.
