San Fran

We arrived in San Francisco and were greeted by a cute little family- the Arvins! We met Caed (7 months) for the first time. He is very precious! Nicole was my roomate at Briercrest (00/01) and we have kept in contact all these years. Its been 5 years almost to the day (our wedding day!) since we last saw Nicole. So much has changed, but it felt like we were never apart. Sean, Nicole, Caed, Dan and I went into the city to Ghirardelli Square to meet with Kristi, another close friend who currently lives in San Jose. We ate world famous ice cream at the Ghirardelli Ice Cream Shoppe and strolled down to the ocean and walked along a pier with a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We were welcomed by sea lions and seagulls. :)

We spent the next few hours catching up with Sean and Nicole, eating Mexican food and helping their "roomate" put together some Ikea furniture while her husband was away for the weekend. It was one of Dan's highlights of the trip....seriously. We got up early to the noise of WILD TURKEYS below our bedroom window, and headed to Suisun for the best breakfast ever at Bab's Delta Diner. Yum. A quick stop to take some pictures at the Golden Gate Bridge, and as soon as we knew it, we were back on our plane to PG.

The trip was way too short, but we are so thankful we were able to see and do all that we did in such a short time. We have been so blessed with so many fabulous friends.

This sea lion was so friendly!

San Fran wouldn't be San Fran with a little rain, fog and umbrella action

Wow, it is so cool to see Sean and Nicole and their little family. I still remember when they were first dating, and Nicole said Sean never talked to her... ha ha. That is really neat... :)
