It is certainly winter here in PG. We've been experiencing -30ish days/nights all week and I am starting to get antsy. First it was too warm to ski, and now its too cold. Its a little easier to take when I see Vancouver getting hit with snow and having freezing temperatures. We certainly are looking forward to our super exotic holiday in 75 days...but who's counting?!
Today the truck did not want to start (maybe since Dan hadn't plugged it in!). The morning temperature was -33, but during church it "warmed up" to -22. Dan and I took advantage and got out cross country skiing. We bundled up and lasted about half an hour before our fingers started to hurt. Not bad!
Other than that, we have had a busy week. We celebrated our friend Leah's 30th birthday with a breakfast for dinner, dinner party. We also had a potluck with our small group as a year end get together and wrap up the gifts we had purchased for a needy local family. Matt was up visiting and packing his remaining belongings, and we celebrated our friend Steve Duncan's 40th with Indian food and bowling.
