I was asked to make Joel's 7th birthday cake for his big, boy party today. The theme was "space" so I created a space shuttle cake. It didn't turn out exactly as planned, but I ran out of time! I also had some cake issues the night before. The cake was flaky and didn't agree with the icing..even with the crumb coat! Ah well, the party went on, the kids had a great time launching rockets and making flying saucers. The boys even commented on how good the cake was. I guess that's all that matters, right? :)
