Dan planned an overnight trip for the two of us to stay at the fancy Faimont Pacific Rim hotel for my 30th birthday! We had so much fun on our date- the first night we both had been apart from Naomi. We got gelato (pumpkin cheesecake and tiramisu), had a yummy dinner at The Teahouse and enjoyed wandering the city and people watching. Our hotel was so high tech! The room could be controlled by an iPad they provided. You could close the curtains, turn on and off lights, call up your car from the valet without leaving your bed. We had a lovely view of Stanley Park from the 22nd floor. Naomi had a blast with her Scott grandparents and didn't seem to notice we were gone.
