Last week was a busy one. Dan and I have been searching for a house for over a year. We have certain things we are looking for (nothing too crazy- laundry on the main floor, bedrooms up, etc.) and we FINALLY found a home we both loved. We moved quickly and our offer was accepted. We put our house up for sale and booked a home inspection. Well, the home inspection ended up being the best $400 we've ever spent. There was rot at the base of the house and the inspector was just pulling off chunks of stucco off the exterior of the house! It was hard to tell how extensive the damage was, but the inspector though between $5,000-$15,000! We spent about 3 hours in there and after awhile we started to think this is NOT the house for us. Meanwhile there was a open house happening at our current house with people lining up to get in! Everything ended up turning out ok. We got out of our contract and we still have our house for sale, but not for long. With baby due in a few weeks, we've decided just to stay put. We love our house on the inside, the area etc. and really we only wanted to move to get off the busier street we are on. We are content to stay for now.
So, thats where we are at. We also had Mark stay with us for the week and the weather has been 22ish. Lovely!
