Vacation Time

Dan and I headed to Westbank for an early long weekend. We met our friend Haley from Calgary and spent the weekend together. It was a blast! We showed Haley what the Okanagan has to offer- we spent the day at the Tracey's cabin on Kalamalka Lake, went on a winery tour at Mission Hill Winery, spent some time at the Farmer's Market enjoying the local fruit, and introduced her to family and friends.

We just might make it an annual event. Haley loved Kelowna as it reminded her of home-California.

Dan had to get back to work, as did Haley. I stayed for another week and worked as a cabin leader at Morning Star Bible Camp. It was a challenging, but rewarding week. Dan's brother was one of the directors. Mark was up there as a cabin leader and both of Dan's parents were working in the kitchen. It was so nice to hang out in the hot Okanagan weather and spend time with family and friends we don't get to see as much as we'd like. My campers were great and the activities were fun AND the weather was amazing. It was a great week.
