Day 2

After a good nights sleep we drove to Chester- a quaint town surrounded by a Roman Wall. There is a lot of history in the town. They are currently uncovering a Roman ampitheatre which was the biggest ampitheatre outside of Rome in its day.

Next, we entered into Wales and again were running out of time! We had to cut a few areas off our list since we spent so much time at Conwy Castle. The castle was constructed by Edward I between 1283-1289.

We then travelled to the Welsh town of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch-which translates as "The church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red cave". Google it to learn more about how to pronounce it!

We then ended up in Llandudno (pronounced Clan-did-no) a beautiful seaside resort with a long crescent promanade along the ocean. We stayed at a beautiful B&B (www.lympleylodge.co.uk) and enjoyed walks, shopping, dining out and meeting the locals.
