We came back home to PG last night after a relaxing long weekend in westbank. We went to the gorman's cabin on saturday with Mark and Stephen. The whole Gorman family was there for a change. Laurie's back from Ottawa on holidays for three weeks, Shona's in westbank (no idea what she's doing), Andrew's there working, and Kristen had just gotten out of hospital.....again. Kirsttin's looking better than before, but the doctor's still have no idea what's going on. She's got a tube in her arm for TPN (total parental nutrition) instead of using the feeding tube that goes into her gut. The cabin was nice and HOT.
We spent sunday at Grandma and Grandpa's pool with Stephen and Justin. Hadn't seen Justin in about a 2 years...or just before he went to Switzerland. I can't remember when it was, but it was before our wedding. It was nice to relax at the pool like old times, but now grandma keep the temperature at 32 degrees!!!!!!!!!!! It was a giant hot tub!
In the evening we went to morning star bible camp to drop off Justin / see old friends. The fenton's and other old Parkcrest people were there. It felt like we were still living in Burnaby and going to camp...playing rook in the dining hall, chit-chatting on the lawn chairs, listening to Gordie Fuller speak....
The drive back home was really good. It went by really fast, but we were in shock when we got up to PG and it was cold!!! We had about a 10 degree change over the course of the drive....why do we live up north???
