We have been on a roll with visiting lakes in B.C. this summer. We visited Echo Lake for the day a few weekends ago to attend Naomi's friend, Tessa's 4th birthday party. I (Kristina) helped Jen apply Jamberry nails to the 9 girls. It was a lot of work, but the girls loved the pampering! We enjoyed a visit with the Duncan family and Jen's parents for supper.
Last weekend we went camping for the first time with the girls at Ten Mile Lake. We have never seen the girls so excited before. They LOVED camping! The first night was a bit crazy, the girls didn't get to bed until after 1030, but the next day they were tired out after all the fun adventures and things went a lot more smoothly.
Highlights were spotting slugs everywhere, the lake, playground and sleeping in sleeping bags. Lowlights included a thunderstorm (for Naomi) and a snake incident. :) Yikes!
We did have a bit of rain, but took advantage of the weather, drove into town and visited a favorite shop of mine and both girls ended up napping to boot!
