Dan and I felt spontaneous this afternoon and ventured (not far!) 5 minutes from our house to the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club (Otway) to try out cross country skiing. We loved it! We don't know much about the technique, but we had a lot of fun touring the trails and getting outside for some exercise. Although Dan isn't about to give up his passion for downhill skiing, we are hoping to get out there a few more times this season and maybe pick up a pass next year.
