We got a bunch of house guests this weekend. Steve came up with Justin, Emily and Bryan to spend the long weekend here. It's partly because Mark wasn't going to be going to Vancouver, so they figured that they should come and visit him (and me). They came up at about 3 yesterday, we sat around, had a hot tub, dinner and then gave them a tour of the town. In the evening we played Rook for about 4 hours. 9pm till 1pm. Emily won by about 400 points, and Mark was negative 770. It was weird palying with 6 people.
This morning was pancakes for breakfast, and a walk in Moore's meadow. I can't believe I've lived a block away from it for 8 months and have never gone in once. It was very nice. Steve and I then walked over to the Nelson's to say happy birthday to Chloe. Had some cake, and then came home. Grilled cheese and tomatoe soop for lunch, and then they all went shopping.
Kristina's not around which is too bad, she'd be having a lot of fun with them.....most of the time. There's always a bit of stress wondering what's going to get broken this weekend.
Maybe there'll be another big game of rook tonight.
